A few years ago, Nirajan and Anisha came up with an idea to start a business that would help bring unique products from Nepal to a wider audience. The vision was to bring the native culture of Nepal to prominence. They set up a group of like-minded individuals to share this vision. After many late night brainstorming–over plates of steaming hot mo:mos–Bellymonk was conceptualized. The vision became a resolution. The company, in its earlier phase, started off by selling handcrafted goods made by skilled artisans of Nepal. Later, after learning that Nishan, a trusted friend, was also interested in the idea, the three teamed up and decided on creating their own brand. This idea was further fueled after the collaboration with Anish. Together they decided to start their own line of lifestyle products, which are designed and made in Nepal. And the brand Bellymonk was born.

We are a group of like-minded individuals striving to deliver unique products from Nepal. Our basket of products comprises majority of accessories related to daily lifestyle like bags and casual apparels.

The designs we create embody the spirit of Nepal and our products exemplify the perfect confluence of art with modernity. We are trying to redefine the word “anachronism” as cool.
